Professional Experience

Raul A. Alvarez is an associate attorney with Clarke Silverglate. Raul focuses his practice on resolving complex commercial disputes for foreign and domestic clients, concentrating on medical device liability, general product liability, mass tort, class action, asbestos, and cryptocurrency cases.

Raul graduated cum laude from the Florida State University College of Law with honors under the school’s Business Law Certificate curriculum. During law school, Raul served as the Managing Editor of the Florida State University Law Review, earning the Editor’s Award for Volume 47, and as President of the Cuban American Bar Association. Raul was honored with a Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award for his commitment to public service and the merit-based Cuban American Bar Association Raoul Cantero Scholarship Award. Raul gained valuable experience by interning under the Honorable John J. O’Sullivan of the Southern District of Florida and later at the Supreme Court of Florida under Chief Justice Charles T. Canady, where he wrote briefs on complex jurisdictional issues. He also served as a summer associate at a national law firm, contributing to the firm’s representation of commercial clients and institutional lenders. Before joining Clarke Silverglate, he represented developers and contractors in matters arising from the construction and use of real property.

Raul is a Cuban American born and raised in Miami. He is proud to serve his hometown community. Before law school, Raul graduated from the Honors College at Florida International University, where he served in Student Government. Raul enjoys playing sports, drawing, and trying new food spots around Miami in his free time.
